Why I admire Siomai

Though we’ haven’t properly talked, I admire her for her honesty and integrity. She isn’t someone to be picked one, though she might look cute and cuddly, she will pack a bite if you cross her. ;)

I think she’s a kind and generous person that takes care of her friends.

I hope we’ll get more a chance to talk about random things..

So true about don’t judge a book by it’s cover, though Rick the affective Yeti looks hairy and mean and lives in the snowy mountains, but inside he is the most caring and gentle person you’d likely to meet.

His appearance might be deceiving, but underneath all that fur skin, he’s just like one of us but more, strong in character, loyal to his friends, and very supportive.

Who wouldn’t want to be a friend of Ricks?

Why I want to meet Tha Gensta of 2008 NEW & IMPROVED...

Why wouldn’t you want to meet a guy who looks like this?

We haven’t talked properly before, but I think he’s really nice

:D

I hope someday to meet Tha Gensta, sit down over a cup of coffee (chai?) and converse about the world, the mind, the soul; everything he posts about and some things he doesn’t (I would love to learn what he knows about psychology and philosophy, for example). I hope to be able to come up with a riddle that he cannot crack, and I can give him a huge hug and congratulate him on his future-new-engagement (I assume by the time I can actually travel to Middle Earth he will be either engaged or newly married … ;) ...).

It is rare that I make a dear friend so quickly as I have formed close friendships with a few of the people here on 43 Things, and Tha Gensta is one of these people. He is so intelligent and kind, non-judgemental, and open to learning new things, I do not see how we can not have a hundred things to talk about over a hot cup of something caffeinated! ;) ::LOL::

Finally, I respect Tha Gensta greatly for the love he has for his girlfriend, the dedication he shows to her, and the way he places his priorities in order so that his goals with her are achievable. Besides being incredibly sweet and inspirational, this also allows a level of trust to be there that I have rarely had with a male friend (no offense guys, it’s just that it can be awkward sometimes for us Muslimahs to find a male friend that we truly trust… even including some of our noble brothers), however after reading what Tha Gensta has posted about the love of his life, I feel completely safe in the idea of meeting some day… I am sincerely and deeply grateful for the knowledge that if we ever meet up and partake in intellectual intercourse, this is all that will happen (except maybe a huge coffee bill! O_O ::lol::). Alhamdulillah I have met another friend that I can be myself around, and know that I am free of pressure to be anything except who I am. =)

One last thing… I would like to thank Tha Gensta- in person – for his understanding of how busy I am, and how kind he has been when it takes me a week or longer to reply to whatever he has written. I owe him an apology, and he has not only forgiven me but also managed to cheer me up about it! ::happy dance::

What an amazing person Tha Gensta is. Insh’allah someday I will actually meet this person whom I am blessed to call my friend.

::hugs::

Why I admire David Suzuki

Nothing i can that hasn’t already been said by others. What a great human being, i’ve seen him in a few interviews, conferences, the way he came across shows that he’s articulate and knows what he’s talking about. I’d like to meet him one day and ask him what his views are on different issues.

Why I admire Tha Gensta of 2008 NEW & IMPROVED...

He has a real good head on his shoulders and I wish more people were like him. I would be honoured to be considered a friend or aquaintance of his! He is great to his family and friends…I think he puts them 1st and I love people that are like him…unselfish, modest and very caring. The goodness of your heart and soul shines thru all the way over to me in Canada Gensta! You are a very special man…don’t u forget it!

Why I admire Jet Li

‘Once upon a time in China’movies is one that i loved watching and still do. I would immerse myself in the movie and pretending that i was the hero. I love his other movies like ‘hero’ which was one of those fairytale themes.
Cheers go to Jet Li, i’d like to shake his hand one day.

Why I want to meet Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan one of my fave actors in asian cinema. I’ve seen majority of his movies and love the way he comes across. All his movies made me laugh and think..
I admire the way he puts himself forefront of any stunts and taking his body to the extreme, can be dangerous at times but this is ‘Living’ instead of merely existing like 6b other people.
He’s a great person in donating to charities.

Why I want to meet Dalai Lama

Dalai Lama would be one of the worlds kindest man. I think he would be regarded similar to Ghandi. He doesn’t believe in violence, which would rarely anyone could be able to do. I’ve read some of his books, saw the movie and read a lil bit about the history of Tibet, and why he became exiled.

I’ve seen his interviews and the way he spoke to them made me feel that no matter who the person, he’s still humble and theres equality. He has a genuine smile and sincerity with anyone that he comes across.

I want to meet him to shake his hand and tell him what a great thing he’s done with Tibet.

Why I admire sugarbabybaby

I admire sugarbabybaby for being who she is and saying what she thinks. The impression i get from her is that she’s a kind and caring person, smart and great to be around with. She’ll make you think and realise the real you.
Well, all i can say is that she’s ‘cool!’
Anywayz, thats why i wanna meet her, to one day have a sit over coffee and talk about 43thingers all day…..
