I hope someday to meet Tha Gensta, sit down over a cup of coffee (chai?) and converse about the world, the mind, the soul; everything he posts about and some things he doesn’t (I would love to learn what he knows about psychology and philosophy, for example). I hope to be able to come up with a riddle that he cannot crack, and I can give him a huge hug and congratulate him on his future-new-engagement (I assume by the time I can actually travel to Middle Earth he will be either engaged or newly married … ;) ...).
It is rare that I make a dear friend so quickly as I have formed close friendships with a few of the people here on 43 Things, and Tha Gensta is one of these people. He is so intelligent and kind, non-judgemental, and open to learning new things, I do not see how we can not have a hundred things to talk about over a hot cup of something caffeinated! ;) ::LOL::
Finally, I respect Tha Gensta greatly for the love he has for his girlfriend, the dedication he shows to her, and the way he places his priorities in order so that his goals with her are achievable. Besides being incredibly sweet and inspirational, this also allows a level of trust to be there that I have rarely had with a male friend (no offense guys, it’s just that it can be awkward sometimes for us Muslimahs to find a male friend that we truly trust… even including some of our noble brothers), however after reading what Tha Gensta has posted about the love of his life, I feel completely safe in the idea of meeting some day… I am sincerely and deeply grateful for the knowledge that if we ever meet up and partake in intellectual intercourse, this is all that will happen (except maybe a huge coffee bill! O_O ::lol::). Alhamdulillah I have met another friend that I can be myself around, and know that I am free of pressure to be anything except who I am. =)
One last thing… I would like to thank Tha Gensta- in person – for his understanding of how busy I am, and how kind he has been when it takes me a week or longer to reply to whatever he has written. I owe him an apology, and he has not only forgiven me but also managed to cheer me up about it! ::happy dance::
What an amazing person Tha Gensta is. Insh’allah someday I will actually meet this person whom I am blessed to call my friend.
::hugs::
